Valentine's Brunch Bandit

Valentine's Brunch Bandit

I came across this adorable black & white top while perusing H&M and it reminded me of the sweet Rifle Paper Co. Valentine I picked up just the other day!
The striped top has a fantastic zipper back detail & the cut is shorter yet not quite as drastic as the crop-top style that is popping up everywhere.
I thought it would be fun to create an entire outfit around the Heart Bandit Card. This look is perfect for a Valentine's Day Brunch date & I'm head over heels in love with how it came together!

Snow Flowers

Snow Flowers

I am beyond obsessed with this white Tory Burch floral blouse as well as these lovely Ivanka Trump ballet flats (on sale!) As a New England girl I should be more than adjusted to a drawn out cold snap- think snow in April...however I would be perfectly happy if winter ended in January. While spring seems so very far away, I'm ready to pair these pretties with winter whites (ear muffs, gloves & cashmere scarf all on sale!)  some girly pearls and pretend it's a balmy January. Who's with me?!

Style a Chunky Knit a la Olivia

Style a Chunky Knit a la Olivia

I love a cozy, chunky knit sweater in the winter months. I typically pair it with jeans or leggings and boots. This look caught my eye because it's such a different way to style an oversized knit. Olivia Palermo is a flawless style icon. She tends to style classic pieces with a twist. I'd be thrilled to have her wardrobe appear in my closet. She always looks polished and impeccably put together from head to toe. Here are a few great sweaters I've found to style a la Olivia!

Golden Globes 2014

My favorite part of the Golden Globes has always been the pre-shows/red carpet looks. Ever since I was little it was the only part of awards show season I enjoyed. These past two years Tina Fey and Amy Poehler had definitely captured my attention to watch (most of) the actual award show itself. Anywhoo...these gorgeous dresses still captured my attention even more; here are my personal favorites!
 via
I literally got goosebumps when I saw this dress! Newcomer Lupita Nyong'o looked incredibly chic and timeless in this Ralph Lauren red gown. It's seriously a work of art. I think it's safe to say that the majority of viewers felt that this look stole the show. This red carpet moment will be remembered. So elegant, she looked fantastic. I love E!'s Glam Cam 360 look here!

How gorgeous is Margot Robbie? To me, she has an old Hollywood-look and is a classic beauty. Did any one else watch that show Pan Am a few years ago that she was on or am I the only one? I loved this Gucci dress and the pop of color from her emerald heels. Simply stunning!

I love this navy Alexander McQueen on Allison Williams. In close-ups the top of the dress looks like small feathers. Classic, covered-up yet still sexy. I think Allison Williams could wear a paper bag and make it look good.

I normally am not a fan of asymmetric hem-lines but something about Caitlin Fitzgerald's ensemble made me change my mind. She looked beautiful and polished. I love the color and I love the shoes!! Her dress and striped stilettos are both by designer Emilia Wickstead.
Ok, the more I look at these stilettos the more I really want them!

Naomi Watts looked amazing in this liquid silver gown by Tom Ford.

Momma-to-be Olivia Wilde looked radiant in this emerald Gucci gown. Serious perfection!

La crème de la crème:
Out of all the gorgeous dresses on the red carpet last night, Cate Blanchett's gown was my absolute favorite. I thought she looked flawless in Armani Privé when she was chatting with Ryan Seacrest on E! And a few moments later the camera pulled around and showed the back of her dress- my jaw literally dropped. So glamorous, so elegant. This dress is everything.

Unreal. I can't get enough of it!

Best stage presence:
Emma Thompson. Barefoot, martini in one hand, Louboutins the other!
I still cannot believe she tossed her Loubs over her shoulder! Fantastic.

Favorite jewelry:
While I thought her dress took over her body, Paula Patton's incredible David Yurman high jewelry, white diamond and moonstone drop earrings were truly the only piece of jewelry that stood out to me. (That I saw at least) Better view of her jewelry here. They were so gorgeous!! I did read a tweet from InStyle Magazine that Julia Roberts was wearing $1 million dollars worth of Harry Winston diamonds. Can you imagine?! Unfortunately I was too distracted and disappointed by her shirt dress to notice.

The red carpet looks for this years award season are off to a phenomenal start. I can't wait for the next show!

Who were your top picks for best dressed?!
